Eric Kretschman is a senior government executive who has strong financial and operating experience in both the private sector, and in government. Eric’s leadership skills and business acumen, has helped him reposition companies, government agencies and academic institutions to become profitable.
Eric’s business experience began at the age of 22, when he was elected to be commissioner for the township of Abington. Abington is described as a first-class township that’s located in southeastern Pennsylvania. It has a population of approximately 57,000 and was listed by Money Magazine as the 21st Best Place to Live in America among all cities between 50,000 and 300,000 in population. During his tenure as commissioner, Eric created an award winning recycling program and founded the township’s Economic Development Committee.
Eric was elected to be the youngest county controller, for Montgomery County, PA, at the age of 32. During his time there, Eric managed an operating budget of $480 million. In addition, he supervised many services for the county’s 3,500 full-time employees.
While working as controller, Eric served as the Secretary of the Montgomery County Retirement Board. It was because of his leadership and business skills that the pension fund assets grew from $400 million to $518 million. Eric’s oversight of the pension fund included hiring a new consultant, reconfiguring asset allocation, hiring new managers, creating a new investment policy, and shifting from active management of fixed assets to a more lucrative indexed strategy.
Eric Kretschman also used his skills to serve his community when he raised more than $1.5 million to renovate the city’s library while serving as Trustee of the Montgomery County Community College.
An exceptional educational background helped Eric become the success that he is. He earned a BS in History & Politics from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA; a Master of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently working toward Degree, Fels Scholar from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA.
Today, Eric works as a Managing Director for Olympus Capital Group in New York, a company that specializes in the acquisition of multi-family real estate portfolios and large, complex apartment building and whole company transactions. Eric is responsible for building a portfolio of properties throughout the US that has an asset value of $100,000,000.
Eric is married and lives with his wife and 4 daughters.
